Chimney Rock Food Co. was created by Brett Cary in 2017 after working in the food service industry for over a decade. A graduate of the Southern Maine Community College Culinary Arts Program, Brett has worked in many restaurants throughout Maine, studied and trained in Switzerland and France, consulted for Maine businesses, and worked as a private chef on a sailing yacht across the globe.
Brett’s love and passion for food is matched by his devotion as a surfer. While cooking, sailing and surfing around the world, he witnessed first hand how severe the waste management crisis truly is, and how strongly the food industry contributes. Upon this personal revelation, he went back to school and graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BA of Business MGMT and Sustainability. Chimney Rock Food Co. is a reflection of Brett's personal connection to food and the environment.
